Billington began her writing career in 2011 while living in New York. She reached out to the publisher/editor of the Chattanoogan.com online news publication. Jen had lived in Chattanooga, Tennessee, for the last 30 years and began writing about her experiences in New York through a southerner’s eyes. When she moved back to Chattanooga, Jen continued her column and was given several assignments for the publication. She also wrote for CityScope magazine. After marrying, she moved to her birthplace of Kentucky, and published an online magazine for her community called The Murray Mirror. She also wrote for Vue Magazine in Paducah.

Jen is currently book writing. She resides in Kentucky with her husband, Jason, and is the mother of grown twin sons who live in Kentucky and a younger son who is a police officer in Chattanooga. Jen is a grandmother to five grandchildren, owns a horse ranch, and enjoys “treasure hunting” her Scottish roots, kayaking, bicycling, and hiking.
