Life was happening around Rich, and he was eager to capture the stories behind a lens.

“I am drawn to the love story. I want to witness a couple’s love and to be a part of making their memories last.”

A young man sits on the ground with his fiancé standing beside him. Rich peers through his lens and sees the young man’s arm wrapped around her boots. He zooms in—a thousand stories in that one photograph.

“You find yourself smiling and enjoying the moments shared by people you don’t know. You become a part of their story because you feel the emotion. I want to capture that pure connection, the correlation between them.”

Rich knows love.

Married to Heather, the two have always been a team. Their daughters, Alana and Sierra, complete the blessing. Through the years, they have also made it a priority to capture in photos the love they share. And I’m so glad they did.

Rich is battling cancer.
When Rich was diagnosed with cancer in March of this year, they prayed, researched, listened to the doctors, listened to holistic survivor stories, and felt strongly led down a path of holistic healing. They continued to pray daily together – prayers for wisdom, direction, healing, and prayers for God to be glorified in their story.
The tumor had shrunk, and Rich’s blood work looked great.

Then, a few months ago, they learned the tumor had begun to grow. Due to a partial blockage, they knew it was time for conventional treatment.

Rich mustered the energy to oblige his wife for more photoshoots of their family as often as possible through this journey.

“The photos have grown exponentially in value to me due to what we are walking through,” Heather says.

Ironically, over the years, Rich has volunteered to photograph for fundraisers such as “Jack Shaves for Kids Cancer.”

Now, it’s our turn to support Rich.

“I don’t consider myself a photographer as much as I call myself a ‘people person’ – studying how people interact with each other – the special look in their eyes. We aren’t just thinking of the here and now; we are thinking about 25 years into the future for them to reflect and relive their story.”

Donate if you are able, and please pray for Rich and his family to have more stories to tell and memories to capture.
